Dooars Family Tour (04 NIGHTS/05 DAYS)
The floodplains and foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North-East India, surrounding Bhutan, are known as the Dooars or Duars (in Bengali and Nepali). In Bengali and Nepali, the word duar, which means door, refers to the area that serves as Bhutan’s entry point from India. Whereas the Eastern Dooars are referred to as the Assam Dooars, the Western Dooars are known as the Bengal Dooars. The Dooars valley, also known as the Duars, is a significant component of the Jalpaiguri district and stretches from the River Teesta in the west to the River Sankosh in the east.

Day 1 - NJP/Bagdogra/Mal Junction to Lataguri
You are met upon arrival at the railway station or airport and brought to your hotel or resort in Lataguri. The National Park of Garumara is around this location. We prefer to house our visitors in hotels or resorts that give off the impression that you are in a tea garden or a forest.
Day 2 - Excursion to Samsing, Sunthalekhola
We take you on a tour to Samsing and Sunthalekhola after breakfast. Samsing is a tea estate in the Dooars that is surrounded by a small neighbourhood of roughly 100 dwellings. There is a lovely Guesthouse perched atop the hill. Just the noise of the murmuring river Murti, which flows about half a kilometre below, breaks the quiet of the area. The road to Samsing passes through verdant tea gardens, and during the monsoon season, the descending mist on the tea gardens is a sight to behold. It's a fantastic place to observe birds.
Day 3 - Excursion to Murti, Jhalong and Bindu
We'd like to take you on a trip today to Murti, Jhalong, and Bindu. A little community called Murti can be found next to the Murti River. It's the perfect location for a picnic where you can take in the natural beauty. Those who are lucky enough to see elephants and other creatures drinking water on the Murti River's edge may perhaps get a sight of them. On the border between India and Bhutan, Jhalong is located beside the Jaldhaka River. It is located in the Kalimpong subdivision at the foot of the Himalayas, on the route to Bindu. A popular destination in this region is the Jaldhaka Hydro Power Plant on the Jaldhaka River. The area is a haven for migratory waterfowl as well as a diverse variety of hill species.
Day 4 - South Khayerbari & Jaldapara
Eight tigers are housed in the South Khayerbari Rescue Center, seven of them were taken from various circus acts and one from the Alipore Zoo. 18 leopards live at the South Khayerbari Wildlife Rescue Center. The only leopard safari of its sort in India is also available at South Khayerbari Eco Park.
Day 5 - One Forest watch Tower in the morning and depart for onward journey
Rest of the day is free for leisure. Drop to airport/railway station for onward journey.
