Day 1 - Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Gangtok
Welcome upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and transfer to Gangtok (114 km/4.5 hrs). Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim, is located at an altitude of 5500 ft. It is a lovely and clean town promising of the best monasteries and scenic views. Night at the hotel with the remainder of the day free for personal pursuits and leisure.
Day 2 - Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir excursion
After breakfast, set off for a day journey to Tsomgo Lake (12400 feet), which is only 32 kilometres from Gangtok City and is nearly 1 kilometre long, oval in shape, and 15 metres deep. The locals revere the lake, and another 12 kilometres away is the Baba Mandir, which is devoted to the memory of the soldier Harbhajan Singh. The evening is free for personal pursuits and shopping in Gangtok.
Day 3 - Local sightseeing in Gangtok
The half-day sightseeing tour of Sikkim's capital city begins in the morning and includes stops at the Ranka Monastery, the Banjakhri waterfalls, the Institute of Tibetology (which is closed on Sunday), the Chorten (Stupa), and other sites.
Day 4 - Gangtok to Darjeeling
Transfer to Darjeeling in the morning. Darjeeling, once the summer capital of India, is a place of boundless charm and variety. You will get to encounter both the vibrant natural world and the endearing Himalayan people. It is the location of Dorje, the spiritual lightning strike of the Lama-Religion. This tiny village is surrounded by tea gardens and is located near some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas. Take a break, then go for a stroll in the neighbourhood to get a feel for the area's new culture. Afternoon at Hotel
Day 5 - Darjeeling local sightseeing two points (04 AM to 07AM) and best points (9.30 AM to 1.30 PM or 2.00 PM to 6.00 PM)
Start your day early and head to Tiger Hill to see the stunning dawn and its incredible effects on Mt. Kanchendzonga, the third-highest peak on Earth. Then, stop at Ghoom Monastery (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY). After breakfast at the hotel, you'll go on a half-day tour of the area's best attractions, including the Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (closed on Thursday), the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, the Ropeway (entry fees are not included), a stroll through the mall, and a stop at the local market (Closed on Thursday). Evening Free time for personal pursuits and shopping; overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 6 - Transfer to Kalimpong, then see nearby attractions
After breakfast, go to Kalimpong (54 km; 2 hrs) and then take in some of the local sights there, such as Dello Hill, the Zong Dog Palri Fo- Brong Monastery (Durpin Dara Monastery), and flower and orchid nurseries. The evening is free for personal pursuits. Hotel overnight stay.
Day 7 - Kalimpong - Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri
After breakfast, a transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (75 km; 3 hours) is made every morning.
