Day 1 - New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport – Darjeeling
Arrive at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri station, then go to Darjeeling, the Queen of the Hills. After you get there, check into your accommodation in Darjeeling. The evening is free time. Darjeeling, stay the night.
Day 2 - Darjeeling
Visit Tiger Hill in the morning to enjoy the spectacular sunrise and Himalayan Mountains, including Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest, etc. Just before sunrise, the horizon changes hue, and the entire Himalayan range turns golden. On the way back from Tiger Hill, one may see the 15-foot-tall image of Mythey Buddha at Ghoom Monastery, which was established in 1875 and is the oldest monastery in the area. After breakfast at the hotel, take a city tour that includes the Tenzing Norgay-founded Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), the Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), the Tibetan Refugee Center (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, and the Happy Valley Tea Plantation (from outside). Darjeeling, stay the night.
Day 3 - Darjeeling – Pelling
After breakfast, go to Pelling, which has a wonderful view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and is located at an altitude of about 2000 metres. Nighttime in Pelling.
Day 4 - Pelling – sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for city tour visiting Pemayangste Monastery, Rabtense Ruins, Khechipalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Fall and Rambi Falls Ground. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 5 - Pelling – Gangtok
Then, travel to Gangtok. See the Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Cottage Industry (closed on Sunday), and Bakthang Waterfall before continuing on for a half-day of sightseeing in Gangtok. Stay the night in Gangtok
Day 6 - Gangtok - Tsomgo (Changu) Lake – Gangtok
Start your 55-kilometer (one-way) journey to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet) and Baba Mandir (13,200 feet) after breakfast. Stay the night in Gangtok.
Day 7 - Gangtok – Kalimpong
Have pleasure in your trip to Kalimpong after breakfast. When you get to Kalimpong, go directly to your accommodation. Afternoon sightseeing in Kalimpong, seeing the Mangal Dham and flower nurseries as well as the Zang Dog Palri Fo Brang Monastery. Spend the night in Kalimpong
Day 8 - Kalimpong -New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport
Following a hearty breakfast at your Darjeeling hotel, head to Bagdogra Airport to catch a flight or to New Jalpaiguri Station to catch a train back home. Keep in touch via Facebook, email, and let's get together again for another special holiday. We'll talk soon.
